11 months agoEala’s is Frescos Speakeasy in the basement- it’s been around for about a year and a half now but is not as well known because it’s not open to the general public (yet). Eala’s is pronounced eye-laws, but the word actually means “swan” in Irish, as it is a Lakeland establishment which is home to the royal swan. Very cute and thoughtful. It is a speakeasy for private events only- but renting the space is really affordable compared to a lot of places, because it already comes with full bar service, plenty of seating and decoration as well as a stage. They did a beautiful job with the setup- it’s classy and gives a bit of a prohibition feel yet a little more modern. We enjoyed the drinks and expected to since it is a Frescos establishment and if you know Frescos you know they serve great brunch, desserts & drinks so why wouldn’t their speakeasy be the same. I came to Eala’s for an event with about 50-60 people and we fit easily and comfortably, so I think this space could for sure fit 100-150 people, if not even more than that. It’s a beautiful space that hopefully they’ll start running as a regularly open and visitable speak easy in the future, fingers crossed!
